Call for New and Emerging Nurse Leaders
The Center for Nursing Advancement is seeking nurses to participate in our Emerging Nurse Leader Fellowship.
Participant Qualifications & Program Conditions
- Nurses interested in becoming a nurse leader or new to an entry-level nurse leader position
- Full-time employee and employed with your organization for at least 1 year
- Most recent performance review rating was “Meet Expectations” or higher
- Willingness to actively engage in training and successfully complete the training program
- Agree to dedicate approximately 4-6 hours per week to the program
- Maintain work responsibilities and not allow participation to interfere with job performance
Program Details
Program Title: Certificate in Nurse Leadership
Learning Hours: 4-6 hours per week for 14 weeks (approximately 60 hours of required learning time per student)
Course Description: Designed for nurses looking to enhance key leadership skills, the course includes a unique combination of evidence-based content, practical tools, insightful examples and structured application to move the learner from insight to action. This, coupled with the interactivity and collaboration with other nurses and skilled facilitators, creates a rich experience and provides nurse leaders with the mind-set, skills and confidence to lead in a manner that is authentic to who they are. The course addresses key challenges facing nurse leaders through a series of four modules: Leading Self, Leading Others, Leading Change, and Leading Organization.
Format: Cohort-based, instructor-led asynchronous online learning.
